I was curious about this weight loss plan stood out to me because they weren't just telling you what you should and shouldn't eat, they were actually providing you with the meals.

Nutrisystem D for diabetics (men) I can handle small meals and even tolerate the processed food in them, but I don't like the protein shakes at all! I know they're good for you and all, but why can't they just incorporate more protein into the meals? They'd be more satisfying, just as healthy and remove the need to have to endure drinking those things! Not only that, But I keep hearing it's better to eat fewer meals in a 24 hour period because it forces the body to burn more fat as you get hungry. I'd be quite happy to eat a hearty breakfast then go until dinnertime until my next meal, just drinking water in that time. Just my two cents! Thanks.
Nutrisystem is easier to follow than many other diets and has few nutritional deficiencies, but don't expect it to have a positive effect on diabetes or heart health.

It's easy enough to add in some protein and veggies, the food isn't bad, and I wasn't hungry between meals. The bars taste like all the other bars, the dinners were okay...except for the Chicken Alfredo. Smelled bad, looked bad, tasted bad. Haven't had the Rotini yet, and after last night, I'm a little afraid. I was disappointed to find, however, that the Nutrisystem D 5-day plan (marketed to diabetics) contained all but two of the same meal choices. I bought the Diabetic plan to try next week, hoping there would be different meals with lower carb content (more like Atkins bars and meals). Everything was exactly the same except the Chocolate Muffin was exchanged for the Blueberry Muffin, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar was exchanged for the Trail Mix Bar. In any case, it's a great jump start to get your eating under control, and I will do it next week, but skip the Chicken Alfredo!
Calorie Trackers Like most guys I know, I love to eat! I was always afraid of going on a hard core diet plan because I did not want to give up great tasting foods. With the Nutrisystem plan I have not had to give up any of my usual great tasting foods. Hats off to Nutrisystem for figuring out how to get great tasting food in a small package that is so easy to prepare - just stick it in the microwave and you're eating in 5 minutes.
However, it's probably not a permanent answer to weight management. It would be hard to eat Nutrisystem food, and only Nutrisystem food, for the rest of your life. Even on the Nutrisystem website, the opinion seems to be that people tend to get tired of the food after 2-3 months.
The customer service is...imperfect. Although in fairness, most customers who are moved to write about customer service are angry, so it's expected to see lots of these:
“I call and call and nobody can send me substitutes. Customer Service refers me to Nutrition; Nutrition says only Customer Service can fulfill such a large portion of missing items, and thus goes the ping pong game. I finally ask to cancel everything and they email me a label. But at the same time they tell me that will charge $150 cancellation fee. Wow. That's the first time they tell me that.”

At this rate it will take a while. It is is healthy to lose slowly, and try not to get discouraged because my loss is slower han I had thought!!! But bottom line, it is working!!!
